Welcome... I'm Sara & I'm glad you're here.
The most central idea in my work is that every person has within themself the ability to heal, to change & to live a meaningful life.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Simpson College & my Master's Degree in Counseling from Iowa State University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
My theoretical approach is rooted in Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) & The Adaptive Information Processing Model used with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitizing & Reprocessing). I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR Clinician & Consultant.
I am a proud Mom of 3 amazing young men & a rescue dog named Shadow.
I've had my share of "life lessons" & have found the most impactful part of my journey is to be constantly reminded that I am never walking it alone.
& neither are you.
